Felix Jimenez is a seasoned technology executive and trusted advisor with nearly three decades of experience guiding some of the world's most sophisticated hedge funds and alternative investment firms through digital transformation, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity evolution.

As founder of Pernix Technology Group, Felix serves as a fractional CTO/CISO and strategic advisor to startup hedge funds, private equity firms and emerging asset managers. He brings a rare combination of leadership, technical fluency, and regulatory insight sharpened by his time as a CTO within multi-billion-dollar firms and honed through building scalable environments from the ground up.
Most notably, Felix was the founding CTO for SurgoCap Partners, the largest female-led hedge fund launch in history. There, he architected a cloud-native environment serving the full operational stack: investment and trading systems, shadow books and records, investor relation, data platforms, and governance risk and compliance frameworks, all built to scale securely in a high-stakes environment.
His work extended across leading hedge funds including Point72, Millennium Partners, and Third Point, where he consistently delivered, aligned IT with investor expectations, and introduced resilient, future-ready architectures.
Felix is known for his thoughtful approach, strong work ethic, and steady integrity, qualities that help him build trust quickly with founders, investors, and teams alike.
At his core, Felix is a technologist and a lifelong learner. He holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He believes technology is most powerful when aligned with business strategy, a principle he brings to every engagement.
